Make it Human. 👋
Esports Teams and organizations are very distinct when it comes to social media presence when compared to other types of companies with the key factor being interactions should feel human. Pick a communication style whether that is focusing on education, rising stars with a chip on their shoulder, or any number of others and keep your tone consistent with that message.
Content! Content! Content! 📸
As an ambitious founder in the world of esports I'm sure your immediate goal is to create the next world champion roster in the game you are competing in. While that is natural the equally important if sometimes overlooked component in building esports communities is managing your team’s content production.
Results are important but your social media presence from artwork to videos to community events is what converts passerbys into diehard fans.
Maintain your fanbase as you scale 📈
With the rise of esports in mainstream media and more teams/players than ever vying for the limelight it can seem like you are getting lost in the brush but don’t take this as disheartening. True organic growth building a fanbase takes time and it may not always be linked to the competitive success of your team. For this reason especially early on its important to take note of vocal fans who appear often on your platforms direct connections with them will help you stay rooted in the community which actively seeks out and maintain their presence while targeting new growth.
